I had never heard of a Quinceañera before this request. So I did a little research on the trusty Internet and this is what I found... Wikipedia saves the day again.
It's sometimes called fiesta de quince años, fiesta de quinceañera, quince años or simply quince and is the celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday in parts of Latin America or in Latin American communities. This birthday is celebrated differently from any other birthday, because it marks the transition from childhood to young womanhood. Similar to a sweet sixteen birthday party. These celebrations are different between countries, some focusing on religious beliefs and others less formal.
This celebration was treated a little less traditional. It had a Las Vegas theme and was held in a large banquet hall that could accommodate her family and closest friends from school. She was raised by a single mom, so many of the rituals were modified to work for the adorable mother-daughter duo.
The invite was a ton of fun to design! I'm my opinion, hot pink should always be used when appropriate.
