HOW TO BUILD AN INVITATION SUITE

INVITATION
The invitation lists all of the important details - the couple's names, parents names, wedding date, wedding time and ceremony location. It is also the first thing a guest gets to see before the big day, so it sets the mood for your event.

RESPONSE CARD
Your guests will mail back their reply on this card. It can either be a response card with envelope or a postcard response. Postcards are a more budget friendly option since you can leave out the envelope and just buy postcard postage stamps.

LARGE & SMALL ENCLOSURE CARDS
These cards can be used for any extra information you'd like to share with your guests that can't be found on the invitation. This is a great place to list details for the reception, accommodations for out of town guests, your wedding website address, or even registry information if you are wanting to include it.

BELLY BAND
This is either a paper or fabric band that holds the pieces together inside the envelope.

SINGLE INVITATION ENVELOPES

I offer two types of envelopes: Single or Double Envelopes. Double envelopes are traditional for wedding invitations. They have the mailing address on the outer envelope and then address the guests individually on the inner envelope. However, single envelopes have become the new normal among most brides I deal with. It saves money and postage because it keeps the weight and thickness down. Envelope liners are an additional cost.

GUEST ADDRESSING

Guest addressing can seem like a daunting task, let me help! Guest addressing is done in black ink and in a font that matches your invitation suite. There is a guest addressing template here to get you started preparing your list.

RETURN ADDRESSING

Return addressing is complementary and printed on the back flap of your outer invitation envelope and on the response envelope or response postcard. Typically the address listed is either the brides personal address or they are addressed to the mother of the bride.
